Alto saxophonist Grace Kelly was a child prodigy, appearing with Phil Woods at the Pittsfield CityJazz Festival…at the age of 14… and made jazz history.
After being mentored by both Phil Woods and Lee Konitz, she is now a headliner in her own right. Acclaimed the world over, she has appeared at all the major jazz festivals and has been featured on CNN, NPR, and magazines as far-ranging as DownBeat and Vanity Fair, which named her “a significant millennial in the jazz world”.
The prodigious performer, singer, composer, and dancer will be returning to the Berkshires for a CD Release concert on August 28. Her national tour kicks-off in central Massachusetts, and the first leg concludes at the Lee Congregational Church in downtown Lee, “the Gateway to the Berkshires,” at 7pm.
Her quartet includes Devon Yesberger, keys; James Dale, bass; Ross Pederson, drums; and the inimitable Grace Kelly on saxophone and vocals.
In addition to regular and premium seating, there is a limited-availability VIP add-on which includes a brief, intimate performance by Grace Kelly, followed by a Q&A and photo with her. Plus, a signed poster. All for an additional $35. This add-on feature starts at 6pm, 30 minutes before the doors open for general seating.
This VIP add-on is only available in advance, and is limited to 30 people. The VIP ticket sales will stop 24 hours before the performance, or when we reach the limit, whichever occurs first. A rare opportunity to meet-and-greet this amazing young lion who has become such a prominent force in jazz. This add-on option will be available at ticket checkout.
Don’t miss out. Seating is limited, and this will be one of the hottest tickets of the summer cultural season in the Berkshires.
