Looking for a hot way to cap the year-end holiday break? Join us for a concert by The Hot Club of New England, Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025. The music begins at 4:30 (doors open at 4pm), at The Proprietor’s Lodge in Pittsfield. And a dinner discount, to boot.
Headed by pianist Matt DeChamplain and vocalist Atla DeChamplain, The Hot Club of New England is a musical collective featuring the top swing, gypsy, and hot jazz musicians in the New England area. Followers of Berkshires Jazz know Matt as a virtuoso pianist with a range that spans from delicate and intimate to energetic and powerful. His wife Atla has a sensitive yet powerful voice which displays an amazing range and demonstrates the full emotional gamut from joy to melancholy.
The Jan. 5 performance is a “CD on-ramp” event, representing a unique opportunity to hear their fresh material in a live performance on the eve of the band’s studio recording session.
The Hot Club of New Egnald was founded when the jazz power couple teamed up with members of The Rhythm Future Quartet, the internationally acclaimed gypsy jazz group. The January 5 configuration includes voice (Atla DeChamplain), piano (Matt DeChamplain), acoustic guitar (Max O’Rourke), bass (Greg Loughman), and clarinet (Evan Arntzen).
The Proprietor’s Lodge is a popular dining and music venue, on the shores of Lake Pontoosuc in Pittsfield. A cash bar will be available during the performance. And, they are offering a 10% food discount (Jan. 5 only) for those who stay for dinner. Bring your printed ticket or have it on your phone. Reservations are recommended, and may be made at (413) 344-9546.
See you there!
